At predetermined signals, the pilots blast the propane burners , which releases a burst of fire into the balloon. The balloons \"glow \" like huge fireflies, a truly magical scene, and one not to be misse d! The balloon glow occurs during the Saturday evening concert beginni ng at sundown.\n\nBalloon Ascensions:\nThe balloons go up at 6:30 a.m & 6:30 p.m (depending on weather conditions).\n\nWhat to bring:\nOutsi de food and drink are NOT permitted (you can buy food/drink inside).\n The concerts are lawn seating (unless you buy a seat for the concert) so bring blanket and beach/lawn chairs.\n\nWhat goes on at the festiva l other than watching the balloons:\nThe Quick Chek New Jersey Festiva l of Ballooning is \"more than hot air\" because it offers a wide vari ety of entertainment.
