SUMMARY:Hike: Baldpate Mountain
DESCRIPTION:Get out and enjoy Indian Summer with NJYPs on Baldpate Mou
 ntain. The trails offer a uniquely challenging terrain often lacking i
 n central Jersey hiking, and can certainly serve to challenge particip
 ants who are looking for something different. Depending on the route c
 hosen, the Delaware River, the Philly skyline (haze/weather permitting
 ), and historic farm properties are all sights that can be seen while 
 hiking here.\n\n Member Cost: $5 for the first 10 $10 for the next 11 
 to 25 $20 at the doorNon-Member Cost: $20 online and at the door.Specs
 : The hike is classified as moderate. The total length of the hike wil
 l be about 5-6 miles long and we will walk at a moderate pace. Ascents
  and descents can be steep and tricky in places, and depending on rece
 nt weather, mud/puddles are potential issues. If stone steps are encou
 ntered on the trail, use extra caution when navigating them, especiall
 y if carrying a pack. The hike will be about 6 miles long and should t
 ake around 3 hours. As with all hikes you must be in good, athletic sh
 ape.Tickets: There are a limited number of Tickets for sale. Tickets a
 re not mailed, but your name will be kept at the door. All sales are f
 inal.Sweeper: If the group size is larger than 10, we are going to loo
 k for a volunteer to act as a sweeper. Sweepers will walk at the end o
 f the hike line and will make sure the group stays together.Hike Leade
 r: Maren will be leading this hike.What to bring: Hiking boots and wat
 er (required). Sunblock and bug spray recommended. We recommend a ligh
 t snack or lunch, tissues, plastic bags for garbage, and similar items
 .Inclement Weather: Heavy precipitation will cancel this hike; drizzle
  will not. Please check your inbox for updates and the NJYP.org calend
 ar. Tickets will be refunded. Extreme heat may also cancel this hike.H
 ow to find the group: Meet at the Pleasant Valley Road Parking lot. Th
 e well-marked entrance driveway is on the south side of Pleasant Valle
 y Road, 1.2 miles west of Bear Tavern Road.Directions: 206 South, to 2
 02 South, to 31 South, to local roads. It is tucked back a bit from an
 y highways, unless people are coming off of route 29 (along the Delawa
