 story and hiking, huzzah! We will walk through a Pine Barrens ecosyste
 m typical of the area, while seeing what remains of the Howell Works C
 ompany, an iron producing community established almost two centuries a
 go in the 1830’s. There may even be a chance to visit the functional
  period-correct bakery (supposed to open mid-February).  Afterward, t
 he group will go for a late lunch and drinks...totally optional but al
 ways fun!\n\n\n\nMember Cost: $10 online $20 the day of and at the doo
 r\n\nNon-Member Cost: $20 online and at the door.\n \nTickets: There 
 are a limited number of tickets for sale. Tickets are not mailed, but 
 your name will be kept at the door. All sales are final.\n \nSpecs: D
 ifficulty level is 1.0, http://www.njyp.org/page/hike-ratings Length 
 of the hike is about 3-4 miles long and we will walk at a moderate pac
 e.  The hike should take about 2.5 hours.   As with all hikes you mus
 t be in good, athletic shape.\n \nSweeper: If the group size is large
  we are going to look for a volunteer to act as a sweeper. Sweepers wi
 ll walk at the end of the hike line and will make sure the group stays
  together.\n \nHike Leader: Maren will be leading this hike. She will
  make sure the hike starts on time so please arrive on time.\n \nWhat
  to bring: Water (required). Hiking boots and bug spray recommended. A
  light snack.\n \nInclement Weather: Heavy precipitation will cancel 
 this hike; drizzle will not. Please check your inbox for updates and t
