Together we are going to hike thr ough one of the most beautiful and remote areas of NJ partly UNDER THE FULL MOON and stars. This 6.5 mile hike will begin in the evening but end under full moonlight with a Smores campfire. Experience the fores t like you never have before while making other adventurous friends.\n \n\n\nMember Cost:\n$5 for the first 5\n$10 for the next 6 to 25\n$20 at the door\n\nNon-Member Cost:\n$20 online and at the door.\n\nSpecs: \nThe hike is classified as moderately strenuous with a lot of uphill and downhill.\nIt will last 4-5 hours depending on how long we break f or.\nWe will be hiking a total of about 6.5 miles with an option of an additional 1.5 strenuous miles, depending on how the group votes. The reward for the additional hike will be crystal clear waterfall nestle d amidst a cedar forest.\nAs with all hikes you must be in good, athle tic shape. This is NOT suitable for beginners.\n\nTickets:\nThere are a limited number of Tickets for sale. Tickets are not mailed, but your name will be kept at the door. All sales are final.\n\nSweeper:\nIf t he group size is larger than 10, we are going to look for a volunteer to act as a sweeper. Sweepers will walk at the end of the hike line an d will make sure the group stays together.\n\nHike Leader:\nDavid will be leading this hike.\n\nWhat to bring:\nHiking boots and 3 liters of water (required).\nThis hike is going to be taxing and you need to ha ve the right gear and supply of water.\nBring a light source. We will try to navigate by the moonlight with our eyes adapted to the limited light, but we still may need an external light source.\nWe strongly re commend bug spray and a light snack or meal to keep your appetite sati sfied.\n\nInclement Weather:\nAny precipitation will cancel this hike since we will be walking with limited light at some point. Please chec k your inbox for updates. Tickets will be refunded.\n\nDirections:\nTa ke RT 80 west to exit 12. At the end of the exit ramp, take a right on to RT 521 (Hope / Blairstown Rd). Take that to the end and make a left onto RT 94 South. At the first light, make the weaker right onto Brid ge St. Do not take the sharpest right, make sure you are on Bridge St. Follow that up the hill and make a right onto High St, then bear left onto Millbrook Rd. Follow that for 6.4 miles until you see Historical Millbrook Village on your right and turn right onto Old Mine Rd (Nort h) there. Continue on Old Mine Rd for 1.5 miles and make your first ri ght onto Flatrockville Stillwater Rd (also known as Blue Mountain Lake s Rd). The parking area is 1.3 miles up on the left.\n\nImportant: If you decide to use GPS and not these directions, please note that you c an only approach the destination from the western side.
