Although very popul ar with bird watchers, Lord Stirling Park offers much more than just t hat. Nestled within this piece of the Great Swamp are several ponds, b eautiful woodlands, fresh water marshes and beautiful meadows. Please join us in this peaceful walk through nature with good company!\n\nAft er our adventure, we will optionally go out to eat for lunch.\n\nSpecs :\nSkill Level- Easy; this hike is good for beginners!\nLength- 5 mile s in 2 hours.\nPace- Easy\nAs with all hikes you must be in reasonable athletic shape.\n\n\n\nMember Cost:\n$5 for the first 10 to buy a tic ket\n$10 for the next 11-25 to buy a ticket\n$20 at the door (so pleas e register online)\n\nNon-Member Cost:\n$20 online and at the door\n\n Sweeper:\nIf the group size is larger than 10, we are going to look fo r a volunteer to act as a sweeper. Sweepers will walk at the end of th e hike line and will make sure the group stays together.\n\nHike Leade r:\nDavid will be leading this hike. David will not be waiting for lat e people. In fairness to those who arrive on time, the hike will start on time.\n\nWhat to bring:\nHiking boots are strongly recommended and 2 liters of water is required. Hiking boots will help keep the mud ou t of your feet when hiking as the trail may have a few wet spots.\n\nI nclement Weather:\nHeavy precipitation and/or temps below 32 degrees w ill cancel this hike. Follow North Maple Ave (it will become South M aple Ave) for approx 2.4 -2.6 miles and make a left onto Lord Stirling Rd.
