SUMMARY:Hike: Norvin Green in Ringwood
DESCRIPTION:Come out and enjoy the spring air with a scenic, vigorous 
 hike in the Highlands of NJ.  This hike sports a 360 degree mountain 
 top viewpoint where we can see far-away hills, sparkling reservoirs an
 d the NYC skyline as well as a beautiful waterfall (which thanks to a 
 wet winter and spring, should be flowing very nicely!).  We will meet
  for an optional late lunch after the hike. Specs: The hike is classif
 ied as Moderate to Strenuous (depending on your fitness level) and is
  about 6 miles long. The hike should take 3.5 hours. As with all hikes
  you must be in good, athletic shape.\n\n\n\n\nMember Cost: $5 for the
  first 5 to buy a ticket $10 for the next 6-25 to buy a ticket $20 at 
 the door (so please register online) Non-Member Cost: $20 online and a

 ickets: There are a limited number of Tickets for sale. Tickets are no
 t mailed, but your name will be kept at the door. Actual hike is subje
 ct to change depending on weather conditions, fallen trees, etc. All s
 ales are final. Sweeper: If our hiking group is large we might look fo
 r 2 volunteers to act as sweepers. Sweepers will walk at the end of th
 e hike line and will make sure the group stays together. Hike Leader: 
 David will be leading this hike. What to bring: Hiking boots and water
  (both required). Be prepared for mud and water. Snacks, a light lunch
 , etc. Toilet paper, tissues, plastic bags for garbage, etc. Inclement
  Weather: Precipitation will cancel this hike.  Please check your inb
 ox for updates and the NJYP.org calendar. Tickets will be refunded. Ho
 w to find the group: Meet in the dirt parking lot right on Snake Den R
 d.  It is a large area and immediately visible from the road so there
  is no mistaking it.  It will be on the right hand side as you are dr
 iving up Snake Den Rd. Please arrive on time as we will not wait for l
 atecomers. Directions: Take 287 North to exit 55.  At the end of the 
 ramp, make a right onto Ringwood Ave.  Follow that for 4 miles and ma
 ke a left onto Westbrook Drive (It will be just past the Skyline Diner
  which is on the right side).  After about 1.5 miles, you will get to
  the intersection, bear left.  After approx 0.5 miles, turn left onto
  Snake Den Rd.  Follow that for about 0.6 miles to the dirt parking l
