Swee per: If the group size is larger than 10, we are going to look for a v olunteer to act as a sweeper. Sweepers will walk at the end of the hik e line and will make sure the group stays together. Hike Leader: Mare n will be leading this hike. Maren will not be waiting for late people . In fairness to those who arrive on time, she will be starting the hi ke on time. What to bring: Hiking boots (recommended) and water (requ ired). Hiking boots will help keep the sand out of your feet when hiki ng as the trail is a mix of hard surface and sandy surface. You may wa nt to bring long pants due to some poison ivy close to the trail. We w ill stop for a light lunch / snack at the picnic area so we recommend you bring something to eat.
