SUMMARY:Hike: Summer at the Shore
DESCRIPTION:If the summer heat is stifling you, come join us on this m
 oderate evening hike at the shore.  We'll traverse the wooded beauty 
 of Hartshorne Woods, take in views of the ocean and maybe even catch g
 limpses of shore wildlife...think deer, not Snooki!  Afterwards we wi
 ll venture out for a late dinner and cool drinks - always optional but
  sure to be a fun night along the coast!\n\n \nMember Cost:$5 for the
  first 10$10 for the next 11 to 25$20 at the doorNon-Member Cost:$20 o
 nline and at the door.Specs:The hike is classified as moderate.  We w
 ill be climbing moderate uphill and downhill.The total length of the h
 ike will be approx. 5.5 miles long and we will walk at an easy pace.Th
 e hike should take about 2.5 hours.As with all hikes you must be in re
 asonable athletic shape.Sweeper:If the group size is larger than 10, w
 e are going to look for a volunteer to act as a sweeper. Sweepers will
  walk at the end of the hike line and will make sure the group stays t
 ogether.Hike Leader:Keira will be leading this hike.Keira will not be 
 waiting for late people.  PLEASE PLAN FOR SHORE TRAFFIC ACCORDINGLY!�
 � In fairness to those who arrive on time, the hike will start on time
 .What to bring:Hiking boots and 2 liters of water are required.  Bug 
 spray is highly recommended.  You may also want to consider sunblock 
 and a light snack.Inclement Weather:Heavy rain will cancel this hike; 
 light rain may not.  Although temperatures at the shore are cooler, e
 xtreme heat may cancel this hike.  Please check your inbox for update
 s and the NJYP.org calendar. Tickets will be refunded.Directions:Take 
 GSP South or North to exit 117. After the toll booth, keep left onto R
 T 36 South. Follow RT 36 South for about 12 miles. Make a right at the
  sign that says “Red Bank Scenic Road”. You will also see a sign n
 ext to it that says “Mt Mitchell Scenic Overlook”. Once you make t
 hat right, you will make another immediate right onto Navesink Rd. You
