Then meet up with other NJYPers at Harriman State Park as we follow a path that wi ll take us past old growth green forests, pristine vistas and beautifu l overlooks of lush valleys and distant cities. Together we will explo re this vast, beautiful place while getting in a workout. After the hi ke we may go out for a late lunch and  drinks so bring cash and get r eady to work up an appetite. \n Member Cost: $5 for the first 5 to bu y a ticket $10 for the next 6-25 to buy a ticket $20 at the door (so p lease register online) Non-Member Cost: $20 online and at the door T ickets: Limited tickets are available. All sales are final. Your name will be at the door if you buy a ticket. Hike Leader: David will be l eading this hike. David will not be waiting for late people. In fairne ss to those who arrive on time, the hike will start on time. Hike Spe cs: Classified as strenuous with a lot of uphill and downhill. 7 miles long and we will walk at a moderate pace. 4 hours from start to finis h, depending on how people feel. As with all hikes you must be in good , athletic shape. This is NOT suitable for beginners. Sweeper: If the group size is larger than 10, we are going to look for a volunteer to act as a sweeper. Sweepers will walk at the end of the hike line and will make sure the group stays together. What to bring: Hiking boots and 3 liters of water (required). Also recommended is non cotton cloth ing. Sunscreen and a light snack or a small lunch. Inclement Weather: Heavy precipitation will cancel this hike; drizzle will not. Please c heck your inbox for updates. Tickets will be refunded. Directions: He ad north on I-287. Follow I-287 until the NY State border and follow t he signs for I-87 North (also known as NY State Thruway). Take exit 15 A and make a left at the end of the exit ramp onto RT 17 North. Follow that for 2.5 miles and make a right turn onto Seven Lakes Drive. Foll ow Seven Lakes Drive for 1.5 miles and you will see the visitor’s ce nter to the right. There is little parking so you may have to park on the street with other vehicles (that’s not a problem, but just be aw are and keep your tires behind the white line). Obey the speed limit! 25mph as you approach the park and they mean it.
