DESCRIPTION:Due to rain on Saturday we moved this hike to Sunday Oct 1
 2th. Request a refund by Saturday at 5pm if you cannot make the new da
 te.\n\nThompson Park offers us the rare opportunity to trek through th
 e woods in Monmouth County. The mostly flat terrain will appeal to beg
 inner hikers and those looking to breath in some crisp fall air. If we
  are lucky the leaves will have begun to change color, making this hik
 e even more beautiful. As always, after a successful jaunt the group w
 ill venture out for food and drinks at a local pub.\n\n\n\n\nMember Co
 st: $10 online $20 the day of and at the door\n\nNon-Member Cost: $20 
 online and at the door.\n\nTickets: There are a limited number of tick
 ets for sale. Tickets are not mailed, but your name will be kept at th
 e door. All sales are final.\n\nSpecs: Difficulty level is 2.3, http:
 //www.njyp.org/page/hike-ratings  Length of the hike is about 6 miles
  long and we will walk at a moderate pace. The hike should take about 
 3 hours. As with all hikes you must be in good, athletic shape.\n\nSwe
 eper: If the group size is large we are going to look for a volunteer 
 to act as a sweeper. Sweepers will walk at the end of the hike line an
 d will make sure the group stays together.\n\nHike Leader: Maren will 
 be leading this hike. She will make sure the hike starts on time so pl
 ease arrive on time.\n\nWhat to bring: Water (required). Hiking boots 
 and bug spray recommended. A light snack.\n\nInclement Weather: Heavy 
 precipitation will cancel this hike; drizzle will not. Please check yo
 ur inbox for updates and the NJYP.org calendar. Tickets will be refund
 ed.\n\nDirections: Garden State Parkway to exit 109. Southbound, turn 
 right onto Rt. 520 West (Newman Springs Rd.); Northbound, turn left on
 to Rt. 520 West 2.2 miles to Park (past M.T. Thompson park and Brookda
 le College entrance ) on left.  State Hwy. 34 to Rt. 520 east. Southbo
 und, turn left; northbound, turn right. Follow Rt. 520 east to Park en
