SUMMARY:Hike: Thompson Park
DESCRIPTION:Once an estate and premier thoroughbred breeding farm, Tho
 mpson Park now offers a multitude of outdoor activities, from hiking, 
 biking and cross country skiing, in the heart of Monmouth County. Our 
 6 mile hike will go over the moderate Reservoir Loop. Afterward, the g
 roup may go for a late lunch and drinks...totally optional but always 
 fun!\n\n Member Cost: $5 for the first 5 $10 for the next 6 to 25 $20 
 at the door\n\nNon-Member Cost: $20 online and at the door.\n\nTickets
 : There are a limited number of tickets for sale. Tickets are not mail
 ed, but your name will be kept at the door. All sales are final.\n\nSp
 ecs: The hike is classified as moderate and is good for beginners. Len
 gth of the hike is about 6 miles long and we will walk at a moderate p
 ace. The hike should take about 3 hours. As with all hikes you must be
  in good, athletic shape.\n\nSweeper: If the group size is large we ar
 e going to look for a volunteer to act as a sweeper. Sweepers will wal
 k at the end of the hike line and will make sure the group stays toget
 her.\n\nHike Leader: Keira will be leading this hike. She will make su
 re the hike starts on time so please arrive on time.\n\nWhat to bring:
  Water (required). Hiking boots and bug spray recommended. A light sna
 ck.\n\nInclement Weather: Heavy precipitation will cancel this hike; d
 rizzle will not. Please check your inbox for updates and the NJYP.org 
 calendar. Tickets will be refunded.\n\nDirections: Garden State Parkwa
 y to exit 109. Southbound, turn right onto Rt. 520 West (Newman Spring
 s Rd.); Northbound, turn left onto Rt. 520 West 2.2 miles to Park (pas
 t M.T. Thompson park and Brookdale College entrance ) on left.  State 
 Hwy. 34 to Rt. 520 east. Southbound, turn left; northbound, turn right
 . Follow Rt. 520 east to Park entrance.  The group will meet in the Ol
