Watchun g Reservation is the only Union County Park that has over 10 miles of hiking trails and lots of beautiful scenery to go with it. Please join us on our little adventure into the woods where we will get to see a little bit of everything!\n\nSpecs:\nThe hike is classified as moderat e.\nThe total length of the hike will be between 5 and 6 miles long an d we will walk at an easy to medium pace.\nThe hike should take about 3 hours.\n\nAs with all hikes you must be in good athletic shape.\n\n\ nRSVP (to the right) and we will let you know when tix are almost gone , when prices are going up, if there are any changes, etc.\n\nMember C ost:\n$5 for the first 10 to buy a ticket\n$10 for the next 11-25 to b uy a ticket\n$20 at the door (so please register online)\n\nNon-Member Cost:\n$20 online and at the door\n\nSweeper:\nWe are going to look f or 2 volunteers to act as a sweeper. Sweepers will walk at the end of the hike line and will make sure the group stays together.\n\nHike Lea der:\nDavid will be leading this hike.\n\nWhat to bring:\nHiking boots and 2 liters of water are required. It is recommended you also bring lunch/snacks to eat along the way.\n\nInclement Weather:\nHeavy precip itation will cancel this hike; drizzle will not. Please be on time as we cannot wait for those who get lost or hit traffic.\n\n\nDirections :\n\nVIA ROUTE 78 WEST:\n\n1. Take Rt. 78 West to exit 43 (New Provide nce/Berkeley Heights).\n2. Turn right at first light onto McMane Avenu e.\n3. At T-intersection, turn left onto Glenside Avenue.\n4. Go 1.2 m iles and turn right into the Watchung Reservation (Rt. 645 – W.R Tra cey Dr.).\n5. Proceed past Lake Surprise, uphill and straight past loo p picnic area to the wooded traffic circle.\n6. At traffic circle take the first right (Summit Ln) and proceed ½ mile (you will bear right and merge onto New Providence Rd.). Parking lot is on the right.\n\n\n VIA ROUTE 78 EAST\n\n1.
