As a team we wi ll be working in the Food Bank warehouse: sorting and re-packing food items, sorting children's clothes for underprivileged kids or re-stock ing school supplies in the Kids' Division. After we bond over non-peri shable items everyone will be encouraged to attend a late lunch at a n earby restaurant (always a blast).\n\nSchedule:\n11:25 Meet-up with th e volunteer host.\n11:30 to 1:30 Volunteer Activity\n1:30 Meet for lun ch at Tiffany’s (optional)\n\n\n\nDeposits:\nBecause the Food Bank i s relying on us we are asking that all volunteers put down a FULLY REF UNDABLE DEPOSIT of $9.19. The $9.19 will be returned to all who attend the event. Cancellations will be accepted (and deposits refunded) up until noon on the day before.\n\nWhat to BRING:\nFood supplies are at an all time low. All volunteers are asked to bring ONE food item.\nCan ned tuna, Canned soups, Mac & cheese, Peanut butter in plastic jars, S paghetti sauce, Pasta, Cereal, Canned vegetables, etc.\n\nWhat to wear :\nThink comfortable. Jeans, t-shirt and sweatshirt are fine. Dress in layers in the winter as it gets COLD inside. No open-toed shoes, sand als or flip flops. Please wear shoes or sneakers. No good jewelry. Ple ase leave all purses, backpacks, iPods and other valuables locked in y our cars.
