Thanks everyone. I'm not originally from here, and just wanted to be aware of what I was getting myself into. See you tomorrow !

There is definitely some up-and-down elevation gains with this route. Some of the terrain in the beginning is tricky, with lots of exposed roots and rocks hidden by leaves, and the middle is where you'd see some hill action. This hike is also a little longer than our typical routes, so please also keep that in mind when considering if this hike is a good fit for you.

I did the Buttermilk Falls Hike a few weeks ago (The Full Moon & Smores Hike). I thought that was a little hard towards the end (going back up hill), but didn't complain. Do you think the lollipop loop is about the same with the steep hills? Just trying to get a feel for this before Saturday. Thanks for your help in advance!

This is my favorite Morris County Park to go hiking at! Weather is looking great for Saturday!

Hi Katrina:

I think the most challenging this about this route will be the moderate rating when combined with the longer format (slightly over 6 miles in total). Please make your best judgement if this type of hike is the right fit for you.

I know Chester but have never heard of this place! Is it a hard hike? Or medium level?
