Hi everyone-

I know it's early, but because people's calendars get booked quickly, I wanted to let you know about art after hours on the first Wednesday of every month at the Zimmerli Museum in New Brunswick. That means live music, art, and (food?)- if anyone's ever been to First Saturdays at Brooklyn Museum- it's similar, I've heard.

The next one's coming up on Sept. 1. Starts at 6, but we don't have to meet exactly at that time, especially since some people might not get out of work. I'd like to get a group together for this.

I am still down. But, the drive is kind of an issue, so I would like to know before hand that this will be happening. If you hear anything about tomorrow, let me know!

Cant wait to meet you tomorrow! (Fingers crossed)
Hey guys-

I called the museum, and they said the event is happening tomorrow- starts at 6 and goes through 9. 6 dollars.

Now- I've never been here- so I'm warning you, I have no idea what to expect (other than pictures hanging on the walls).

I was thinking meeting in front of the museum at 6:30 or 7. What do you guys think?

Here are the directions:

I'll e-mail my phone number to you guys in case you can't find me (since I don't want to publicly post it here).
sounds like an interesting event, i'm down to go, 7pm works better for me
ok- so, I'll be there in front of the museum at 7. In a yellow dress, about 5'8- and my hair's black (unlike in my picture). Parking's free after 6 usually behind the State Theatre BUT I don't know if there's construction going on, in which case it might be blocked. There's meters on College Ave. behind the museum, and also there's Ferren Deck on George St. (which is a little pricey, about 5 bucks for only 2 hours).
Hey- thanks to everyone who came out tonight! It was a great time- we should make this a monthly event. :-)
Salma, thanks for organizing this. It was a fun night.

OK, so maybe it was Cocoon, which in fact was not based on a Michael Crichton novel...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cocoon_%28film%29

"Cocoon is a 1985 science fiction film directed by Ron Howard about a group of elderly people who are rejuvenated by aliens."
Oh, right! Thanks. :-D
