So...ZImmerli Museum in New Brunswick does these cool art events from 6-9- think they're taking their cue from First Saturdays at Brooklyn. I believe it's only 3 dollars for non-members- and it's on the first Wednesday of every month. As far as I know- they're doing it up to July- don't know what's happening after that. So, I wanted to check it out on June 2nd. Anyone interested?

I've heard of these events for a couple years now. I love that museum - used to volunteer there and visit all the time growing up. I don't think I can do the 2nd , but I'd definitely consider later dates. This would be a great thing to check out!
that's cool- glad you're interested- if June 2nd doesn't work for people, we can do the July one. I'm also up for going twice!
Hi Salma I would be interested in July. Great idea please keep me updated hopefully you can get a group together.
thanks for taking the initiative on this. I've been dying to check this out. Maybe June 2nd might work. Do they do this in August? Might be a great "Post-Bar" event for us!
Morris is kind of far for me- maybe North Jerseyans would be up for that.

Zimmerli's a great museum- there's also great restaurants around NB if anyone wants a drink/dessert after. Like I said, I'm up for both June and July :-) since I'm a huge art lover.

Benita- not sure if they're doing any after July. I'll check.
Hey Kristen, I'd be up for the Morris museum one Thursday this summer...
I'd be up for the Morris Museum b/c I work near the area. I could make it there at 5 or 6 depending on which week (I'm on summer hours)

How about the Morris Museum in Morristown one Thursday? It's free admission every Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
I'd also be up for the Morris Museum one Thursday this summer. I always enjoy visiting the Guinness mechanical instruments exhibit there.
I would also be interested in doing the Morris Museum on a Thursday night as well. Would have to be after June though.
Zimmerli is indeed a great museum.

Historically the entire museum is closed in August. Not sure if that policy is still in effect.

As for taking the cue from Brooklyn Museum, I can tell you that Zimmerli has been doing Art after Hours on Wednesdays for at least 7 years or so.

lol- no problem Kristen. Thanks. I live near NB so that's why it's always my first choice to do things around here.

But my invite still stands- anyone who wants to join me for Art after hours Wednesday, let me know. :-)
