Best place to find a roommate?

I'm looking for a roommate an have exhausted all my resources so am planning to go online. Any advice from those who have put an ads online before would be a great help!!!!

What type of questions have you learned to ask?

Did you request references?

Best place to post? (roommates.com, craigslist, etc)

Craigslist is really the only place to post.

I did long interviews with my roommates and used my best assessment. Some were duds and others I still talk to today. Google their usernames, full names, and phone numbers! Friend them on FB and make sure they do not hide their wall or photos from you.

Best question: When was the last time you cleaned a toilet.
