Get Fit and Save Tigers!
Get ready to make tracks for tigers in 2010, and check another New Year’s resolution off your list! The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Run for the Wild is set for Saturday, April 24, but you don’t have to wait until spring to start getting in shape. We’ll be providing training tips from Tiki Barber to help you make the most out of your workouts, so stay tuned. Best of all, you’ll be helping to save tigers with every stride you take. Your pledges and donations provide much needed support for WCS field staff working to ensure a future for these endangered great cats.
The day starts with fun-filled activities and a 5K run/walk – so everyone can be in their comfort zone. All part of the WCS’s Earth Month Celebration at the Bronx Zoo, it offers families, friends, teams of coworkers, runners, walkers, and wildlife lovers everywhere an opportunity to participate.
And for those who cannot join in person, a special Wildlife Conservation Society Run for the Wild virtual run website will enable internet visitors from across the United States and around the globe to support the Wildlife Conservation Society in saving wildlife and wild places.
