Ok so, in spirit of the upcoming fall season and seeing as how it won't be as brutally hot anymore, I was thinking of getting a paintball group together.  Mind you, i've never played paintball, but the idea of getting pelted with paint actually sounds kind of fun!  Would anyone be interested?

That would be cool because some of these paint ballers (like that word?) are insane and out for blood when they play! I was looking at the place in Jackson and I think you can reserve the field for private use for half a day but you need at least 20 people. Double check me on that though.

Since I've never actually been paintballing before - Anyone here who has, can you please suggest some good places? I'm going to see if I can get a NJYP only game going on.
Katie - If we are trying to get a group of 20 plus, we should probably leave it open to friends outside NJYP. I can possibly get some friends to join us if we do. If you'd prefer an exclusive NJYP trip - then NJ Paintball Club (the one in Butler im 78% sure we used) does private fields for groups (I don't think there is a minimum number, but know they have discounts for groups over 12 ppl) and they said they will not add "outsiders" to the group at all, regardless. Even then, I think we would need at least 14 (7 on 7) to make it fun, but have found that more ppl = more fun.
I'm interested in joining as well. Sounds like fun! But Jackson is a bit far for me so it depends on date / time.
Hi Katie,
I would love to join in on Paintball. After seeing the movie Failure to Launch with the scene where they are out playing paintball, i wanted to try it but could never get enough people together to do it.
Let me know if you have a date in mind and i will play paintball
I think Holly suggested 10/3 or 10/24, which are Sundays. The location choices so far are the one in Butler, NJ or Top Gun in Jackson, NJ (across from Great Adventure). Butler is a hike, especially with Top Gun at Great Adventure a 20 minute ride from where I live, but if it gives us a private field I'm all for that.

Here's the Butler location:

Vote for which location: Butler or Jackson?
Vote for which day: 10/3 or 10/24?
I would like to go to Butler. It is 20 mins away from my house. But i dont mind also driving to Jackson. I also think 10/3 is better then 10/24. 10/24 is too close to halloween and they will probably be busy around that time.

I like the idea of 10/3 better, weather depending of course.

It'll be the weekend before my birthday, so might as well do something a young person would do before I go over the hill.
I'm for Jackson for 2 reasons-it's closer and if we get 20 peeps I'm pretty sure we have a private field. As for the date 10/3 I think is better.
Id totally be up for paintball!
Ok so tenatively it looks like 10/3 at Top Gun Paintball. Correct?
I LOOOOOVE paintball!! I was actually thinking of getting a group together myself but you beat me to it, so count me in!
Going back through the posts, looks like about 23 people showed interest in playing. That's probably enough for a private field.

10/3 works for me. Top Gun is my choice.
