Thank you for your replies. Do we have to buy tickets beforehand or can you get them at the door? Just in case i dont know if i will going until Thursday.

Yup, always cheaper online :) And the earlier you buy tix the cheaper they are too. The $5 tix are gone but there are still $10 tix left, for now.

The honest answer is yes, you'll feel out of place ... but only for a little while. Just remember that everyone there had a first event also and felt awkward and unsure in the beginning. But obviously it gets easier or so many people wouldn't keep coming back. Almost everyone in the group is nice and as Kasey said, if you tell the host that you're new or if you can muster the courage to talk to even one person and let them know that you are new, they will most likely introduce you around to other people. You may not feel totally comfortable after just one event ... it took me two or three to get in the swing of things and find my niche ... but you'll be glad you went! Welcome!

David I feel your pain. The few events I've gone to I always had someone with me, but Thursday if I can make it in time I'm going solo. I have my ticket now I just hope I can make it back to Jersey and up to NB in time. I always feel weird approaching strangers so this is going to be an interesting challenge. =)

Hi Darlene,

Thanks for the response. I guess we just have to think of it in a way that everyone is almost pretty much in the same boat. We just have to go in with a positive attitude and know that we will be walking out meeting nice people - either if we go with someone or by ourselves.

Oh wow Dave I missed you- I didn't get there til 8. I had a really good time but the next time I have to get there when it starts because I didn't have enough time to mingle with everyone. =( I hope you had a great time and Laura thanks for doing these!

Laura I had a great time - it was a lot of fun and everybody was so friendly. I am looking forward to another event in the future. I didnt get a chance to talk to you at all next time we will have to chat.

The time flew by so fast - I saw you and I was going to come over but i saw you mingling with a bunch of people and by the chance I could it was already over. Definitely next time we will have to get together and talk.
