Johnnie Walker FREE Scotch and Cocktails Tasting -- March 30 and April 1 at 7 PM
Johnnie Walker is offering a completely FREE Scotch and Cocktail tasting on Wednesday March 30 and Friday, April 1 at 7 PM in downtown, harborside Jersey City, overlooking the Manhattan Skyline. Through this event, you will get a chance to have one Johnnie Walker cocktail mixed drink during the happy hour, fruits, cheeses, vegetables, Brie, Gouda, blue cheese, some kind of crumbly cheese, nuts, grapes, appetizer hors d'oeuvre's (small "kobe" slid...er...s, grilled cheese, shrimp quesadilla), coconut water, strawberries, and figs. In addition, you get to try a shot of ALL the Johnnie Walker brands, including the famous Blue bottle, which retails for $250 a bottle!

The event starts out with a happy hour, lounge setting with one free JW cocktail and hors d'œuvres. There is a picture booth set up so you could take a picture with a Striding Man backdrop and post it to your facebook wall if you so desire.
Then they let you inside the main room. Its very chic. Big screens on all 4 sides and long white bench/sofas. In front of you are the cups with the tasters of scotch neatly presented. The event walks you through the Johnnie Walker line up. Each spot had a glass of ice water, an eyedropper, a strawberry and small dish of pepper, a Johnnie Walker lapel pin and business card holder, and 3 shot glasses of whisky. It starts with Black Label, JW's standard bearer Scotch whisky. The host talks about its history and its flavor. Next is Red Label, where you will be instructed not only to taste it, but to mix it, as it was intended. Next is Green Label, JW's malt whisky, containing no grain. An excellent blend and a delight to taste, especially with someone there to explain the work and process behind it. Next is the penultimate Gold Label, which is brought out after being chilled. Smooth and complicated; a sheer delight on the palate. Finally, they bring out Blue Label in a small snifter. A phenomenal end to a night of whisky tasting. One of the best blended Scotchs out there.

I just tried to sign up, but I am not able to find the "Start Your Experience" link for Jersey City. I wonder if the company stopped accepting new Tasters. Anyone else having an issue?

Have done this tasting at this location. Very fun and definitely recommended. Even the presentation is rather interesting and fun.
