Anyone running in the Long Branch 1/2 Marathon/Marathon in May?  I just started training last week.  If anyone wants to run let me know!

I'm training for the Long Branch Half Marathon too. I'm in Monmouth county. Where are you located? I do my long runs on the weekend if you want to join me.
I'm training for the Rutgers Unite half marathon in April, but I'm always looking for someone to run with. I'm in Middlesex Co. but Monmouth isn't very far from me.
I actually was thinking about joining a half marathon, but not sure if I'd be ready by then (unless i had some good trainers, lol)...Is there a link w/ details?
Depending on what your mileage is and how determined you are, I think you can do it! http://www.njmarathon.org/

I think it is definitely do-able! On the site Sara posted there's a training schedule for 10 wks, which is the right amount of time until the race (May 2nd). The first wk is the hardest =)
Are you all doing a group training?
I'm following the training guide I received when I ran this race for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team In Training. Another good site for training tips is http://www.halhigdon.com/halfmarathon/novice.htm . If you have run at least short distances (3 - 5 miles) then you could start training today and be ok by race day.

Sara, where do you usually run?
I've been running around my neighborhood in East Brunswick, but there are parks nearby I'd like to explore once my long runs surpass 5 miles.
