New to New Jersey. Just moved out east from the midwest for a job. Been a scary move but enjoying myself thus far. I came out here knowing no one so its been a little difficult meeting people. I hope to attend some events, although nervous to as well! Anyone new to New Jersey as well?

Hi Lauren,
I'm not new to NJ but just moved back here about a year ago from the Midwest myself. What part of the midwest are you from? I remember feeling the same way when I moved out to the midwest from the east coast. The two areas are VERY different but...people are pretty much the same all over the country.

Welcome to the "Garden State"

I am from Kansas City...where are you from?

I am also from Kansas! Welcome to NJ. I just moved here from California in Sept for a job as well. Where in NJ are you living?

Cassie

Further south in Long Branch. It has definitely been an experience moving here, but I'm having a great time. I'm not sure how far you are from the city, but we should definitely meet up and reminisce about Kansas =)

Lauren,

I just moved to NJ as well. I think there's so much to do so little time. can't wait to attend one of these events. I hope they are all they are hyped up to be right!?

So far the only thing that I could do without is the ridiculously low speed limit.
Keep in touch, hope to see you at an event
Hi Lauren! Welcome to Jersey :) I've been in Jersey since I was 7 years old (moved from the Philippines). A good friend of mine grew up in the midwest (Burlington, IA) and has been here for about 8 years now I believe. It's been quite an adjustment for her but she's doing well with her husband and 2 kids. I live in Bergen county but if you ever want to hang out, let me know :)
Hi Lauren! I just saw your post, I am also from Kansas! I went to Kansas State but I am orginally from SE Kansas. I moved out here about a year ago for a job opportunity. It has been a roller coaster ride so far, but it has also been a lot of fun! We should get together sometime and compare our notes on NJ life :)

hi lauren! I'm fairly new to NJ as well, having moved from the midwest (Iowa) without knowing a soul! I also just joined NJYP in hopes of meeting new people so if you ever want to meet up, please feel free to reach out! I'll be attending my first official NJYP event on Thursday- the Morristown Happy Hour, so if you are available, you should definitely come out and we can meet up!
Hi Lauren!
Welcome to NJ! I just moved to Long Branch in September...originally from Ohio but I lived in Burlington County for a few years before changing jobs and locations. As the only body of water I had around growing up was Lake Erie, I appreciate NJ! I know literally, one person in town, so I'm looking for people to hang out with.
