New Volunteer Opportunity for Young Women in Monmouth & Ocean Counties!!
Calling all young women looking to make some new friends and help disadvantaged women and children in your community at the same time! Do you enjoy planning events, marketing, volunteering, fundraising or just having a good time? Who doesn't?! If you fit any or all of these criteria, YOU would be a perfect fit for the new WGIRLS Costal New Jersey Chapter! The chapter is centered in Red Bank but we will span Monmouth and Ocean Counties and depending on our membership we can recruit we can plan meetings for everyone's convenience. We are looking for volunteers to help us with a Holiday event to take place in December and we would like to have our first meeting in two weeks. About the WGIRLS: The WGirls was founded in NYC when a group of young professional women decided to host weekly get-togethers to hang out, catch up and plan events...over drinks. As the group grew and friendships formed, the girls decided to commit their time, energy and talents to helping those less fortunate. Today, the WGIRLS aims to provide underprivileged women and children with the support and resources necessary to achieve health, happiness, and the ability to lead productive and successful adult lives. Given the success of the group in NYC, we have decided to launch the Coastal New Jersey chapter, making this a great time for you to join! By partnering with other nonprofit organizations and hosting charity events, we will have fun, make new friends and make impactful difference in the lives of members of our community.

Sounds like a sorority. :) Can I please have some more information on the specific charity work you do? What are some problems the women are suffering with?

Hi Marissa,
The WGirls try to help any women and children who need it. Whether people are abused, homeless, or suffering from cancer or another disease, we'll be willing to work with any organization that will allow us to partner with them or volunteer for them. I guess you can say it's somewhat like a sorority in that by doing this work, women in other chapters have built some great friendships! Please check out wgirl.org for info about what the WGirls National Chapter has been doing. We work closely with the national president who is helping guide us along while we start up.
