4-minute 'friending' event in Hoboken

Why meet the love of your life when you can make a new Facebook friend or even strike up a meaningful bromance? That’s the logic driving a new social event for young professionals in Hoboken. "Four-minute
friending," occurring tomorrow night in Hoboken, follows the
same seating dynamic as speed dating except the participants’ priorities
are different - to hang out, not date.

Participants between the ages of 21 and 39 will meet 10-15 people with shared, platonic interests. The New Jersey Young Professionals event is occurring in the lounge at 3 Forty
Grill, 340 Sinatra Dr., from 7 to 9 p.m.

The event planners will make copies of the sign-in list – containing everyone’s email address, interests, location, and job title – from the beginning of the evening and send it out to the attendees afterward.

RSVP at www.njyp.org. Non-members pay $20 online and at the door, while members might get a discount depending on how long they wait to register for the event.
