On Sunday, May 1, 2011, TD Bank is hosting a 42-mile bike tour through the streets of the five boroughs of New York City.

Registration began today.    The catch is the cost of the registration is $75.00 (non-refundable).  And you need to be in downtown Manhattan by 8am.  They suggest taking the ferry in Staten Island.

Here's more info:

Is there any interest in doing this?

Thanks,

Frank

I did this once.  FYI it sells out QUICK! Way before May 1st.  It is an amazing experience and totally worth it.
Do it every year but it sold out in the first day this year.  Tried to sign up on wed but was to late.  Amazing experience though.  If your signed up I recommend starting in Staten Island and taking the ferry to battery park its easier than taking the ferry at the end.  That and take a nice break at the rest stop before the Verrizano bridge its the most challenging part of the tour.
Do not give up if it sold out!  MANY people will be selling their tix on Craigslist.org as they get insured, get sick, plan vacations, etc.  I once got sick, posted by ticket on Craigslist, and noticed that TONS were for sale, at face value or sometimes cheaper.
