Recruiting volunteer event planners in Northern New Jersey

Everyone,

I am a Special Events Manager for a well-known not-for-profit. We have to upcoming walk-a-thons in October, one in Morris County and the other covering Essex. We are looking for some individuals who can meet monthly AM meetings in the local area (or can at least make a conference call!) who are willing to assist witht he planning of the walk-a-thon festivities. We are looking for people who can make cold calls and dontation requests, who can be present at the events to assist with set-up/clean-up, or for people who have a lot of talented friends who will donate their time and services for a few hours for the event (singers, dancers, jugglers, balloon artists, etc...). Letters of thanks/services rendered can be provided. A great way to get more involved involved in your local community!

I don't know if you are aware of an Organization called RSVP, they serve as regional volunteer centers and can help you get more expsure/volunteers for your events.
