I don't know Ruby, but I'm thinking of taking a Ruby course that is being offered as part of Philly Tech Week. I'd love to know what projects are good for people who are just starting out and trying to develop their skills.

Hi Nicole, Glad to know that you are interested in picking up on ruby. Not sure how far you've got on the literature...but this very light-weight, fun to read book (find at http://humblelittlerubybook.com/ ) is a good start for beginners...

For the starter projects, any simple object oriented problem( sthg like a simple sales tax problem )would be good enough to get your feet wet..
