I'm the coordinator for a volunteer project on Saturday and looking for more people to come hang out and help improve a trail or park in the Watchung Reservation in Union County. Volunteers are needed to assist with weeding, planting and trail maintenance while enjoying the beautiful outdoors as part of the county's Adopt-A-Park program.

This is being done through Jersey Cares, an organization that strives to make volunteering convenient, easy and stress-free.  I've done lots of projects with them and recently became a project coordinator, and would love to make the projects I coordinate more social, a la what NJYP does -- have an activity and go for drinks or food after. It takes just a few minutes to register on www.jerseycares.org, which is free. Then go to the project calendar and the one this Saturday morning is called "Trail Blazing in Mountainside". And of course feel free to browse and sign up for any of the hundreds of events when and where its good for you!

For Saturday, let me know if you sign up and if you're interested in getting lunch afterwards, I'll find a place.

Hope to see some of you there!

Cheers,

Debi

There are still spots if anyone wants to come -- looks like should be a nice clear day!
