This Sunday, February 13, I am leading a short, 2.3 mile hike in Norvin Green State Park that will bring us to 2 waterfalls (1 is technically cascades of a waterfall).  After the hike, we'll go to 3 wineries for the Wine and Chocolate weekend.

Dogs are allowed on a leash.  It is in Bloomingdale, NJ, which is nearby Kinnelon and Pompton Lakes (the closest address to the start of the hike is 583 Glenwild Avenue, Bloomingdale, NJ 07403).

After the hike, we'll drive to our first winery, Cava Winery, located 30 minutes away. Here, we'll sample their wines and a local chocolate-maker's confections. Then, we will drive 15 minutes to Ventimiglia Vineyards, where five dollars each will get us wine tastings and specialty chocolate tastings. Finally, we will drive 20 minutes to Westfall Winery for the free of charge sampling of their wines paired with homemade chocolate treats.

I suggest wearing layers of long sleeve shirts. Also, it's recommended to bring a backpack, 2 liters of water, chapstick, gloves, a hat, and a small trail sandwich. In addition, hiking boots are strongly recommended as they provide more traction than sneakers. If you have waterproof pants or snow pants, they are recommended, but not required.

We'll meet at 11:45 AM at the Otter Hole parking lot on Glenwild Avenue (closest to 583 Glenwild Avenue).
