I cover real estate for The Record and I'm working on a story about housing affordability in the region. Crunching the Census data, we've found that despite home price declines and low mortgage rates, the median-income household still can't afford the median-price home in the area.

I'm trying to talk to young people who would like to buy a home in Bergen or Passaic counties but find they can't quite get what they want, even if they have decent salaries.
Could you send out a message to your list at the young professionals group and ask if anyone's in this situation and would be willing to chat with me about it?
