Anyone interested in joining me in doing this?  I've never tried snowshoeing but I think I should be able to do a 5K.  If anyone's done this before, feel free to share your experiences and any tips on how to prepare.

Modeled after the highly successful Race for the Cure®, the Tubbs Romp to Stomp out Breast Cancer consists of a 3k or 5k snowshoe walk or a 3k snowshoe race.

I assume we are doing the 5K snowshoe walk...that's what I signed up for when i registered.

Hi all, yeah sorry for not stating so sooner but team Frosty Ninjas is doing the 5k walk, I've never done this before so I doubt I would be ready for a race. Lol
Also Dejan, I liked the picture you sent but if your friends could do something similar that wouldn't get us in any copyright/trademark trouble, then great!

The event is approaching fast. I found this t-shirt that can be appropriate for our team to wear. Let me know if you are still interested in getting one. If we are getting one, we should get it soon.

So far there are 3 of us participating(Nelly, Peter and myself). We have a team "Frosty Ninjas" registered and you and your friend are welcome to join us.

Hi Jessica, yes please join us - it'll be fun. There are a couple other ladies on the fence right now. None of us have snowshoed before so don't worry if you've never done it before. We're just getting out there to be active and for a great cause.
Thanks Dejan for responding as well. Btw - I don't think we'll do the t-shirts as they'll be covered by jackets/fleece but what do you think of a banner? Probably about the same cost right? With the original picture you showed us.

We can always get XXL t-shirts and wear them over jackets :) . I'm not sure where to get a banner or how much will it cost. I guess depends on a size.

Hi Dejan, maybe we should just get regular sized t-shirts.  I may never use it again if its XXL, lol.  I guess just get three for you, Peter and myself.  A Large for me please, I asked Peter to confirm with you if he wants a t-shirt.

Will you guys be going on Friday night to pick-up bibs and goodie bags?  There's going to be a night snowshoeing thing, suggested donation is $10.00 for that.  Let me know so we can meet-up, otherwise you'll have to get there on Saturday extra early. I hope we can get the snow shoe demos on Friday night as well.

I can't go on Friday night, I'm teaching a class from 6 PM until 8:30 PM. On Saturday I am planning to get there before 9 AM to register and get the snow shoes. Let me know if any of you wants to go together, otherwise I'll see you up there.
