Just in case you are interested doing local hikes with Tara, there's a local group that does hikes on Saturday in Millburn, Short Hills, Maplewood, and West Orange area. http://www.somocon.org/events/. Keep me posted if you guys ever want to do hikes togther. Have a great week.
