Calling those who still want to get outside in spite of the chill in the air! This moderate loop hike will lead us around the scenic Ramapo lake. We will also climb trough the ruins of an old stone castle and take in some panoramic views as well. Hot chocolate afterwards is optional but strongly encouraged!
Specs:
The hike is classified as moderate and is about 3.2 miles long.
The hike should take 2-3 hours.
As with all hikes you must be in good, athletic shape.
Post-Hike Lunch and Drinks:
Traditionally the group goes out together for lunch and drinks after all hikes. Details will be provided at the end of the hike.
RSVP (to the right) and we will let you know when tix are almost gone, when prices are going up, if there are any changes, etc.
Member Cost:
$5 for the first 10 to buy a ticket
$10 for the next 11-25 to buy a ticket
$20 at the door (so please register online)
Non-Member Cost:
$20 online and at the door
Tickets:
There are a limited number of Tickets for sale.
Tickets are not mailed, but your name will be kept at the door.
Actual hike is subject to change depending on weather conditions, fallen trees, etc.
All sales are final.
Sweeper:
If our hiking group is large we might look for 2 volunteers to act as sweepers. Sweepers will walk at the end of the hike line and will make sure the group stays together.
Hike Leader:
Noah will be leading this hike.
What to bring:
Warm layers that you can take off and put on easily.
Hiking boots and water (required).
Snacks, a light lunch, etc.
Toilet paper, tissues, plastic bags for garbage, etc.

Light rain might not cancel this hike. Please check your inbox for updates and the NJYP.org calendar. Tickets will be refunded.
Directions:
Take Interstate Route 287 to Exit 57 (Skyline Drive) and proceed north on Skyline Drive. Just ahead on the left is the Ramapo Mountain State Forest parking area.
