Event Description

What are you doing on Labor Day? Why not spend the day with NJYP at our 3rd Annual Labor Day Picnic! Expect tons of fresh food and cold beers, softball and kickball games, sun, fun, and around 100 young professionals who are ready to make friends!

Play:
Please bring all of the softball equipment you have because you’ll be sharing.
Kickballs, a wiffle ball set, frisbees, water guns, are also encouraged.

Relax:
Bring blankets, beach chairs, music.
Don’t forget sunblock and sunglasses.

Consume (this is important so please read):
At this event everyone is expected to bring something to share! We will set up 3 “shared food and drink” tables. If everyone brings a little it ends up working out great.
* If you like to cook, please please make a dish that is ready to serve. Think pasta salad, homemade salsa, fruit salad, hummus, brownies, cookies, cake, etc. We will also need burgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, and buns.
* Don’t like to cook? Bring condiments, charcoal, aluminum foil, lighter fluid, ice, napkins, plates, forks, forks, forks, more plates, soda, water.
* We bought an alcohol permit so BYOB.
Please do NOT bring any type of chips! Yup, do NOT bring chips but we will need dips.
List what you are going to bring on the event page.

The Environment:
Do NOT bring the single serve water bottles or soda cans.
Instead please bring water by the gallon and soda by the liter.
Please bring a reusable water bottle that has your name on it.
Expect to recycle! We’ll set up a recycling center for glass, plastic, aluminum, etc.

RSVP (to the right) and we will let you know when tix are almost gone, when prices are going up, if there are any changes, etc.

Member Cost:
$5 for the first 25 to register
$10 for the next 26 to 60 to register
$15 for the next 61 to 125 to register
$20 for walk-ins

Non-Member Cost:
$20 online and at the door

All sales are final.
Please do NOT print your tickets, your name will be at the door.

About Loantaka Park:
Charcoal grills will be available (BYO charcoal and tin foil and cleaners).
2 electrical outlets will be available.
We will have a small shaded shelter area where we will mostly keep all of the food and supplies. There will be MANY picnic tables for us to share right outside of the shelter.
Leashed pets are welcome (yes, they must wear a leash so we don't get fined).

Rain:
Heavy/consistent rain will cancel this event and tickets will be refunded.

Directions:
Using Google Maps, look up this address 480 South St, Morristown, NJ 07960.
Or use the park map and look for the South Street Recreational Area. If the lot is full you will have to find another lot and walk over. Perhaps print the map out so you can navigate around the park and please try to carpool.
Do not park illegally or they will tow your car.
