Let's meet-up to help the Food Bank of NJ. For this particular event we will be working in the Food Bank warehouse; sorting and re-packing food items, sorting children's clothes for underprivileged kids or re-stocking school supplies in the Kids' Division. The exact activity will be determined the day of the event.
What to BRING:
Food supplies are at an all time low. All volunteers are asked to bring ONE food item.
Canned tuna, Canned soups, Mac & cheese, Peanut butter in plastic jars, Spaghetti sauce, Pasta, Cereal, Canned vegetables
What to wear:
Think comfortable. Jeans, t-shirt and sweatshirt are fine. Dress in layers in the winter. No open-toed shoes, sandals or flip flops. Please wear shoes or sneakers. No good jewelry. Please leave all purses, backpacks, I-Pods and other valuables locked in your cars. Bring work gloves if you desire.

1:30 Meet for lunch at Tiffany’s (optional)
RSVP (to the right) and we will let you know when tix are almost gone, when prices are going up, if there are any changes, etc.
Deposits:
Because the Food Bank is relying on us we are asking that all volunteers put down a FULLY REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of $8.99. The $8.99 will be returned to all who attend the event. Cancellations will be accepted (and deposits refunded) up until noon on the day before.

About the Community Food Bank of NJ:
"Using our own fleet of trucks, we pick up large-scale donations from hundreds of corporations in New Jersey. The FoodBank is the state's largest provider of donated groceries to charities, shipping up to 24 million pounds of food annually to 1,500 food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters and other programs in 18 counties. The FoodBank also distributes government-donated U.S. Agriculture Department food product."
Parking:
Parking is available along the length of the building; please do not block loading docks of the buildings across the street from the Foodbank. Your cars may be towed!
