I am planning on taking ski lessons at Mountain Creek this winter. If you would like to learn to ski let me know, it would be fun to learn with a buddy! I have contacted Mt. Creek and can provide more details if you are interested.

How much do lessons cost?
Campgaw is right by me but I don't know if it is any good. I was planning on taking lessons but I'm scared, haha:)
I am going to take 3 lessons. That package costs $119 for three 1.5 hour group lessons, three days of rental gear and three days of lift tickets (on the beginner slopes). I figure if I am going to do it, I am going to do it right! If you want to take one lesson it costs $89 for one 1.5 hour lesson, one day of rental gear and a one day lift ticket. We can still go to the same group lesson even if we get different lesson packages. Lessons run four times a day from morning to afternoon, and we could reserve it ahead of time. If you have your own gear it is much cheaper for a lesson. I would like to take the first lesson in early February so that I can fit in the other two before the end of the season.
I am looking to do something a little scary..it would be fun! I looked into Campgaw, I think they are more expensive.

Really? I will check, they are 10 minutes from me:)
Thank you for the info...I will definitely look into it a bit more before deciding. I really don't know much about skiing so any information is helpful!

If I may chime in with my 2 cents ... I think going to a small place like Campgaw could be a better choice if you are starting out new. It is not as crowded, has convenient parking, and you won't be overwhelmed when you get to the top of the lifts. Plus there is the added attraction of doing snowtubing at the end of the day to switch things around a bit. Mountain Creek can be a zoo sometimes, and parking can be very hectic. That being said, I do not know how well the lessons/instructors are for both places, so your learning mileage may vary.
Ok, I am definitely flexible...I will look into Campgaw a bit more too, especially if they are that close by.

Campgaw isn't more expensive, I think I was just fixated on the three lesson package at Mt. Creek. Is it possible to actually learn to ski with one lesson? For a one hour group lesson, rental gear and lift ticket on the weekend it is $75, $65 during the week They do not take reservations for group lessons, but that shouldn't be a problem. Sounds good to me!

You can definitely learn to ski in one lesson. You won't be taking on the most difficult trails after that, but you should be able to handle yourself well enough to go down the mountain alone. Extra lessons might be nice, but not really necessary.
