Campgaw is right by me but I don't know if it is any good. I was planning on taking lessons but I'm scared, haha:)
If I may chime in with my 2 cents ... I think going to a small place like Campgaw could be a better choice if you are starting out new. It is not as crowded, has convenient parking, and you won't be overwhelmed when you get to the top of the lifts. Plus there is the added attraction of doing snowtubing at the end of the day to switch things around a bit. Mountain Creek can be a zoo sometimes, and parking can be very hectic. That being said, I do not know how well the lessons/instructors are for both places, so your learning mileage may vary.
Really? I will check, they are 10 minutes from me:)

Campgaw isn't more expensive, I think I was just fixated on the three lesson package at Mt. Creek. Is it possible to actually learn to ski with one lesson? For a one hour group lesson, rental gear and lift ticket on the weekend it is $75, $65 during the week They do not take reservations for group lessons, but that shouldn't be a problem. Sounds good to me!
