Want to do something to help people close to home that are struggling to get by? Volunteer with me at the Food Bank in Hillside. I'm a project coordinator for Jersey Cares and would love to make it social like an NJYP event, like go out for lunch afterwards. We're planning to go on Feb. 19th, and I believe March 19 and May 21. I know some of those seem like a long way off but they are only so many spots and they tend to fill up fast, so if you're interested, sign-up at www.jerseycares.org. Jersey Cares also has lots of other volunteering opportunities all over the state with a wide variety of organizations -- I can't explain how great it always feels to volunteer.
