New to New Jersey and NJYP

Hey everyone... I recently moved to NJ from Westchester NY... although not all that far it feels like a different world! I live in Morristown and work in Hillsborough and I would love to meet some people in my new areas and create a new social network...

I love going out for drinks/dinner, anything fun. With the weather getting nice I also love to play golf, basketball and tennis if anyone is into those things as well.

I agree w/ Kristen - the sports leagues are fun and a good % of the teams go our for drinks after (the league sets up a happy hour spot - The Frog in M'town), so it's an easy way to meet ppl. You can sign up as an individual, or with a group of friends. And (w/ NJYP) happy hours/some of the events (like laser tag) are a better way to meet/talk to people than the dances.

Keep an eye on the forum for stuff as well. Or, you can always post a discussion (re: getting a group to go golfing, joining one of the leagues etc.). I haven't played basketball in forever, but would love to play b'ball, or volleyball once the weather gets nice.

Also, the St. Pat's parade is in Morristown this Sat, and a lot of ppl are going. I'll send you a friend request - let me know if you'd like more info. In general, you don't usually have to twist anyone's arm to get dinner/drinks in Morristown or some of the surrounding areas.

Hi John,

Welcome to NJYP! When you say Westchester do you mean the town or the county? I went to college out near Yonkers.

I live in Belle Mead, which is right next to Hillsborough. I've been meaning to go to Petrock's to see how it compares to Tiger's Tale. Maybe I'll post it to the forums... If you have any questions about the Hillsborough area, let me know. I moved back to NJ from Boston in the fall, but I haven't gone to many NJYP events since I got here, but hopefully I'll see you at one sometime soon.

Welcome to NJYP and Morris County Area. I live out in Budd Lake and go into the Morristown area on a regular basis. I'm always up for anything fun and meeting new friends.
