Quays in Hoboken, NJ - January 2009
June 2005 - Cafe Arabica in Morristown for a Game Night. I met the "infamous" Laura at my very first event! Has it really been 4+ years?!?!

NJYP has made a *huge* impact on my life! I met my husband, made many friends (some of whom are amongst my best friends today!), and even got my job through one of the girls I met through NJYP! To say I'm forever grateful to Laura is an understatement :)
As always, thanks Jess.

I'm a new member.. and looking forward to join events as soon as possible.. hi everybody :)
I think my first event was a few years ago, it was in the Sculpture garden in Hamilton. Unfortunately, the couple of friends I made then moved out of NJ! Now that I work in Princeton, I hope to make it to more events soon :)
My first event was in 2005? at Bar-A in Belmar. Only a handful of people showed up and besides a friend who came with me, I've never seen those people again.
Is it sad that I can't remember? I know it was early 2005 and I'm going to venture that it was probably Diva as I lived up near Montclair at the time. Although it could've been Motown. What scares me about it is that at my first event I was a very young 24 and now 30 is looming on the horizon - eek!
My first event was a Bowling event back in February 2007. Now I'm a regular at the New Brunswick Happy Hours and go to several other events. I got my friend to join as well and we met a great group of friends at the Anniversary party in '07. I still love going to the bowling events!
My1st event was a HH at Rio 22, maybe 3+ years ago??. I was sooo nervous going alone. But Laura was a FABULOUS host and made sure I felt at home right away! I recall meeting a woman who worked at an eye bank (of course I forget her name bc I am terrible with names) but I thought her job was sooooooooooo cool!!!

I will second Jess’ HUGE Impact comment! NJYP has enhanced my life so much! I have a new circle of great friends, I found a new job. Some of my now closest bestest and most supportive friends I met through NJYP!

I’m looking forward to a new era of NJYP! Thanks Laura for ALL that you do!!!

~Christine
Hi, everyone! My first event was a Happy Hour held in Red Bank, NJ. Since then, I have come to these Happy Hours as much as I can and I hope to attend more of these as well as other events.
My first NJYP event I believe was the Corn Maze in 2007. I had so much fun trying to get out of that maze, it was insane. I've gone to various events over the years and look forward to more this year!
Almost one of the original old schoolers, my first event was a Nut & Bolt Mixer at The Famished Frog in Morristown in Fall of 2004. It was intimidating, but I stuck it out and went back for a Happy Hour at Sun Tavern in Roselle Park, where I met some people who are still at events today! There were a couple of years that I went MIA but I was so glad that when I returned, some of the same faces and many new ones were here to welcome me back into the fold.
