Hey, I was traveling in China not too long ago and my time there started off with a bang.  I had to go the hospital for 8 days to fight a blood infection.  Now I'm trying to submit my claim to the health insurance company, but the bill is in Chinese.  I need to have it translated before I can submit.  There's definitely something in it for you if you can do this for me.  Suggestions about where else to turn for help are also appreciated.

...my friend is fluent in mandarin, so I would assume she can read it as well...

Are you still looking for a translator?

you can go to www.freetranslation.com or bamboo shoots in Westfield NJ
Yes, I still need the translation.  How do I get in touch with her?

Are you still looking for a translator?

...I'll shoot her an e-mail and see if she's up for it; and get back to you...

And this just occurred to me, but if you're dealing with an insurance claim, the insurance company may want something more official (they might try say that you just had your local Chinese restaurant give you a fake translation), so you might want / have to contact your friendly neighborhood Chinese consulate (or ambassador, or whatever it's called) and get them to give you a translation and letter...

Keith:

you can e-mail me a PDF through NJYP; and I'll get it to my friend.

(FYI...I'll be out of town for work for the rest of the week; and I may not be able to get my e-mails...)

if you still need help I'm fluent in Mandarin
I've tried uploading pdf images of the bill.

you need the whole thing translated it right?

I'll try to do it tonight

Thanks for doing this Eileen.  It's a big help to me.  Word, Excel, .pdf, or even .txt are all fine for the product.  Fire away if you have a question.
