Wine Tasting OR BYO event?

Hi Everyone!!!

I am new to this NJYP, so I wanted to first of all say hello!!! I hope to meet a lot of new friends :-)

I was also wondering if anyone would be interested in a wine tasting or BYO type of event? We could pick a BYO venue, everyone could bring their favorite wine ($15-$30 price range), and we could all enjoy a night of food & wine. OR... I could research and see if any local places do an educational wine/food pairing type of event.

I'm not familiar with how suggesting an event with this group goes yet, but I am always looking for more "winos" (like me) to have a nice night out with. :-p

Hi Robin - I'm a little late in speaking up but I would love to come if there is still room - great job putting this together and rounding up the troops

I'm a late comer too (just joined NJYP today) and I would love to join you all in this! I don't live close by however I'll be in Somerville for my employer's holiday party friday afternoon and this is close by to there. Is it too late to be added to the list? If I may then I'm a definite!

Well I'm primarily a red wine drinker and my favorite is Shiraz so I'll probably bring one of those, not sure what Winery though....

I like Shiraz too (esp. Rosemount Shiraz) but I'll see what I can find. Maybe some Pinot Noir? Whatever it is, it will definitely be red.

And yeah - I don't know about that JP guy either... :D

As for our BYO outing... Are Fridays okay with everyone? I was thinking possibly Dec 11th or 18th... Is that too close to the holidays?

I am bringing Pinot Noir or a Bourdeax (sp?) if I can find one ((Sorry Michele, LOL).

I can't wait to meet all you "WINOs", :-) (except maybe this JP guy... Now I'm nervous, HAHAHA. j/k)
