Anyone want to go ice skating? I would love to find a weekend time that a group can get together, its been so long since I've done something like that and I miss it! I'm in Union County, I know there's an indoor rink in Bridgewater and an outdoor one in Edison, either of which would be good for me. Interested?

Can't go wrong with Italian!

Yep, there's a Maggiano's a little up 22 -- good Italian place, I know I can make a reservation, they're good for big groups if we end up being that, and they have their own parking. I'm open to other ideas though.

Hey Deborah, sounds good. Do you have a place in mind for lunch? I don't know the area well enough to suggest anything.

sounds like Sunday afternoon, Jan, 17th from 2-3:30 works best for those who replied, so how about we aim for then? And lunch before, do you think 12:30 or 1 pm?
Beginners: I'm certainly all for having you come join us, I'm not so terribly advanced myself even though I've skated since I was a little kid. Most people can pick up the basics pretty quickly, I'm happy to try to teach but when I tried to show my husband, it didn't go so well. If anyone else thinks they can be a better teacher, speak up for Lena! Or, it seems the rink offers lessons during that time but you have to call the rink for details. The website is www.bsaarena.com.
12:30-1pm on the 17th for lunch sounds pretty good. Funny enough, I take ice skating lessons on Sunday mornings in Farmingdale, so I can shoot up right after that and skate with you guys too haha.

So who all wants to come? Speak up!
I'll make a reservation at the restaurant, and also check how many people we need to get a group discount for skating.
I'll count Mike, Tiffany, Craig ... who else? Lena, Kasey, Kevin are you following this?
I have to check my availability for Sunday the 17th.

If I'm not too late in responding, I'd like to join you guys for this ice skating event!!! I just past a local arena the other day and thought, "Geeee... It's been a while..." :-P

Not sure if I can come for lunch though. I work til 1pm on Sundays...

Either way, I'll be sure to keep an eye on the forum to get all the details :-)
Not too late at all. I'll post all the details here at least a few days before the 16th. Look forward to seeing you at the rink!
Anyone else want to come ice skating in Bridgewater on Sunday, Jan. 17th from 2-3:30? We'll probably get together beforehand for lunch, I'm thinking 12:30pm. Please speak up if you're even considering -- Thanks!
Wish I could join, but its over an hour trip down from home and this weekend may be a little rough. I would certainly be open to attending in the future. Additionally I skate/play hockey in Hackensack @ The Ice House and Pallisades Center, and would be happy to help put together a get together in Bergen County if there was interest.

Let me know
Andrew, it's not this weekend, it's NEXT weekend, the 17th. So if you're up to making the trek ...
And I'd be up to skating elsewhere in the future.

Anyone else want to join a handful of us and come ice skating in Bridgewater on Sunday, Jan. 17th from 2-3:30? We'll also get together beforehand for lunch, I'm thinking 12:30 pm. Please speak up if you're even considering, so I can make reservations -- Thanks!
Is anyone up for going out to eat AFTER ice skating? I always get hungry after burning calories :-p (And... I can't make it to lunch before :-( )
