Hi all,

I am not new to the area but I am looking to expand my circle of friends. At this stage in my life the majority of my friends are either married, have kids or have moved out of Jersey or just don't like to go out. With that being said, I am looking to make some new friends who still enjoy going out and having fun. I live in Morris County and would love to find people to hang out with. If this situation is similar to yours and or you are new to the area lets meet up.

Ok! Hello everyone! So this is the deal for tomorrow night if you are in. We will meet at the Famished Frog at 8:00. Trying to think of how we will know who each other are....hmm any thoughts? Lets meet in the room off to the right at the bar by the bathrooms. Prior to the Frog I will be going to Hennessey's in Morristown @ 4 to watch the Jets game if anyone is up for that as well. Write back on my page and let me know if I will be seeing. Thanks and looking forward to tomorrow :D
All who are coming tonight can we change the time to 8:30? I figure the Jets game will go to 8:00 and then I will head into town. Call me when you get to the Frog so we can all find each other (973) 476-1282. Looking forward to seeing you all later :D
Thanks for organizing this, Michelle!

Even with the mob of happy Jets fans and not-so-happy Eagles fans, it was a big success.
Sorry I didn't make it, went home after the game to change and didn't make it back out. Maybe next time...
Hi Michelle: as far as I know, this coming sunday in jersey city, theres gonna be a great event with tons of people coming. Not sure if jc is too far from where you are but its an idea. How far would you travel?

Just chiming in. I'm in the same boat as those posting in this thread. I live in Monmouth County so I'm always looking for people who live closer to me for local things like dinner, movie, etc.
My husband moved to NJ from England 7 years ago and didn't know anyone here. He decided to join a weekly pool league to meet people and he met so, so many people through it that he is still friends with now. If you have any intersest at all in pool (or darts, bowling, trivia, volleyball, etc. ) I would recommend checking something like that out. My husband now owns a pool league in Monmouth and Ocean counties (www.jerseyshoreapa.com) so I see all of these teams made up mostly of guys looking for lower level players to add to their teams, so any women who are willing to play pool once in a while would be very welcome! I don't know if other kinds of leagues are the same but for ours you rotate to different bars / pool halls each week and play against different teams in the area so it can be a good way to check out different places you might not have gone to or even known about. If you want to check out pool leagues in your areas go to www.poolplayers.com and go to 'find the APA near you' and its good timing since a new season is starting now and they can only add new players in the first 4 weeks of the season. Good luck!
Hi eveyone,

I've been in NJ for about 2 1/2 years and am still trying to make some girlfriends! I work in a male-dominated field, which is awesome one hand, but it has made it difficult to meet women my age to connect with.

I live in Bergen County, and I'm happy to drive to neighboring areas for a meet-up.

I love the idea of this thread!

Hi all. My problem is more along the lines of everyone I work with is about 10 years older than me and married, so things like after work happy hours aren't really a common event. I used to live up in sussex county, but I'm now down in Passaic, at least for the next 5 months or so before I plan on moving to Morristown. It'd be great to find people in the Morristown area to hang out with.
I moved to Bergen County last August from Long Island. I'm still trying to make new friends as well, and would love to have more to do on the weekends.

Hi Michelle,
I saw your post. Im in a similar situation too. I live in Bergen county but the majority of my friends (regarding of their desires/ability to go) live in Morris county. Please keep me posted with any fun events in your neck of the woods.
Hey everyone -
It's nice to see so many people in the same situation as me. I've recently changed jobs and moved back to New Jersey from Manhattan. I live in Essex County (near Union County) and I work in Bergen County. Most of my friends are married with children so it's tough to get them out. I just joined this week and I look forward to meeting many of you at events around New Jersey.
Drop me a line or add me as a friend if you would like to chat or grab a drink!
Thanks,
Christina
