Camping?
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in setting up a camping weekend now that the weather is getting nicer. I have been camping many times and love it! Maybe we could toss a hike into the mix as well? Let me know your thoughts.

Ok. We really need to set this up soon if we want to camp on May 15th. I have no problem making a reservation for wherever we decide to go. Can anyone who is still interested please post here or send me a message? Let me know whether you prefer Jim Thorpe or someplace more local (I'd rather stay local, but majority rules!) and also, let me know if you'd be free for lunch Saturday. That might be a good time to discuss in person since we didn't really get enough replies for a happy hour meetup.

I wanted to go but unfortunately something came up on the 15th that I can't get out of (evening) but I do have backpacking gear if anyone wants to use it (tent, sleeping bag, etc).

I'll go anyplace scenic with nice camp grounds. Jim Thorpe is just the only place I've been but I am really open to other locations as well. I can meet tomorrow if anyone wants to do happy hour and plan out the trip.

Sorry I sort of let the ball drop here, I've been trying to sort out my plans for May because I'll be away a lot.
I'd prefer two nights also, but I can't do it that weekend. I looked up some parks in northern NJ, and pretty much all the places that NJYP has done hikes offer camping. The cost starts at $25 for a site of up to 6 people. If we have more than 6, we may need to go someplace that has group sites.
A lot of the parks offer other activities as well (fishing,boating, biking, fields, etc.) So there would be plenty to do.
Would anyone want to go June 4-6 or 11-13?

Hi, I didn't see this string before but I'd be interested in joining. Either of those June dates look fine, the May 15 I'm not 100% sure. I'm up for anywhere, and two nights if we pick a place with enough hiking/other options (might be cold for boating).

I'd still be interested in going as well but have an engagement party on June 12th. If you guys are going locally(in Jersey) i could always pop out and then come back if you're doing 2 days.
Don't wait to plan the trip around me though as my summers are usually fairly hectic as it's bbq/vacation time =)
