I love going horseback riding, going on trail rides and such, and I am always looking for people to go ride with. Fall is the best season to go ride! I live in Morris County, but Im willing to travel if anyone knows of any other trails. I'm up for anything so just let me know! :)

As long as we can do a little after 1 pm, I'm totally in. And I have a non-njyp friend who would like to come as well!
I'm in!
I just realized there's a hike at the same park that morning. Is anyone planning on going to that? If it ends at 12:30 is that enough time to get to the stables?
I'm in for the 18th at 1pm.

Ok so just to double check, we have 8 people is that right? I will call today and see if we can start a little after 1, and make reservations.
I'm in as well! Just let me know! Maybe we should swap numbers or something just in case one of us (me) gets lost! lol

OK excellent, so we will have 9 (if we can do it a little after 1). We could really use 1 more person.. that way it will be $30 for each of us, which is a really good deal for a trail ride.

I have:
Myself
Amanda A
Claudia
Peter
Amanda F and friend
Michelle
Deborah
Rebecca
Missing anyone??
I'd like to go. Please count me in.

So heres the deal.. If we want to do the ride at Lord Sterling Sunday.. they require a $150 deposit by Wednesday and need all the heights and weights of everyone riding. They want everyone to be there by 1230. They give everyone a mini lesson from 1-120, then the trail ride is an hour long. What does everyone think? Im kind of nervous putting that much money down. At Seaton Hackney in Morristown we wouldnt have to put any money down, but the ride is $50.
so then how much would that make it per person? Would people be comfortable with something like a PayPal structure, so everyone gives their deposit to an account for Susan to make it to the stables? I'd be OK with that.
And honeslty, needing specific height and weight things are weird. I understand everyone has to be under a certain weight, for the horses' well-being. That was on their website (200 or 240 pounds). Height -- I've never been asked (not that I'm hiding anything), I can't imagine why that matters unless the riders include children or 7-foot tall guys.
Or, does someone want to see if the place in Sayreville is a better option? Honestly, $50 still seems like a lot.
I just dont know about it because its $150 non refundable deposit. If it rains, I dont know what we would do. Its $30 per person if we have 10 people. Everyone has to be there by 1230 and I know Amanda would not be able to make it by then. Im thinking of just going to Seaton Hackney in Morristown because its easy to get to, I know the place well, and no deposit is needed. If anyone would like to do a trail ride there, Sunday, at 1.. I will make reservations. Please let me know by tomorrow morning.
