I just moved to Morris County for a job and am new to this area of New Jersey.  I’m hoping to make new friends and find things to do.  I also would eventually like to stop getting lost every time I need to get anywhere. I am hoping to attend the next Sundress and Tie event, but feeling a bit uneasy as I won’t know anyone.

Hey Bridget,
Last week I went to my first event. Since then I've met a ton of people, the majority of which are really friendly and open. Don't worry, this is the perfect group for people in our situation.

I'll be trying to go to the next sundress and tie event as well, so hopefully we'll meet up. Otherwise peruse the forums and take advantage of the multiple happy hours and informal events happening all over. It's tough to dive in and make that first move, but once you do you'll have no problem going to NJYP events.
Hey Bridget,
congrats on the new job, I am sure you will find tons of friends in here.
If this will make you feel better, I am new too and I also have not met anyone :)
I am sure we will be fine :))
Thanks for the reply!! Yes, things will be fine they are just always a bit tricky at first until you get a chance to meet people.

Hey Bridget, congratulations on the job. I have been to two events thus far and both events I went in not knowing anyone. Trust me you will be fine. Everyone is very warm and open. Even the shy people are included and engaged. You will lose the feeling of nervousness about not knowing anybody very quickly.
Hi Bridget,

Welcome to Morris! I live in Morris Plains with my fiance, Simon.

If you have any questions about the area, let me know! And definitely try to get to the S&T event at Pazzo Pazzo; you'll make lots of friends!

Liz
