Food Bank

Dear Good Hearted People,

I am forming a team of 9 - 12 people interested in sorting food at the Hillside Food Bank.
The tentative date is Aug. 14 2010.

Did you ever get this working? I've volunteered at the Food bank several times with groups and my understanding was its hard to get a group slot on Saturdays, they fill up months in advance. However, I happen to be going back with a group from Jersey Cares on the 28th and am posting on the forum, but saw this so figured you might like to know:
Hi there, I'm in charge of a group of volunteers going to the NJ Food Bank in Hillside for Jersey Cares, and would love to get some NJYPers!
It's only a couple hours of your time, and for a great organization and a good cause. Spaces often fill up so if you're interested, sign-up through www.jerseycares.org -- it takes a few minutes to create an account and its free (its volunteering -- should be free!). The project is called "Marketplace in Hillside."
