I have been dying to go bluefishing again on a party boat and I thought I would see if anyone here would be interested in joining me!!  It will have to be either August or September.   It is 3:30pm to 9:30pm out of Atlantic Highlands and if you've never gone bluefishing - let me just say that it is FUN!  They will actually fight you unlike boring fluke that are too easy to reel in.  It is $55 + $5 for a rod if you need one.  They only do group rates during the week :(

Who's comin with me?!?

Ok - so for everyone interested, which works better? Aug. 21st or 28th?
Sunday's are do-able too, but know that some of you may be driving a bit and then there's work Monday morning.... blah.
I think August is going to be out for me....

That stinks Dar :( You sure?? I'm not sure if they still go in September.. maybe the first week or so, but then there's other stuff going on then too anyway.

Hi Len - it will be fun :)

Can everyone make it on 8/21?
Looks like I'll have plans on 8/27 that will run into the morning of the 28th so that day will be out for me.
The 21st is my first weekend back and I'm going to have a ton to do, 28th I think that date says it all if you think about it.
I live in middletown I know the boat its alot of fun, everyone should go to "On The Deck" before (or after if you dont mind smelling like fish ha) its seriously only 4 boats away, but great place for food and drinks and awesome views....August 21st works also tuna fishing on this boat is great!!
Ok everyone!!!!!
I'm setting the date as Saturday, Aug. 21st. We depart at 3:30pm and return at 9:30. Please arrive no later than 3pm so we make sure we can all get on.
I emailed the Captain to see if this is a good time, will update if we need to get there earlier.

The fare is $55. To rent a rod is $5. Bring cash!!

If you can make it - AWESOME!! We will have a lot of fun!! :D

Things to bring / wear:
* comfy clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
* Shoes with good traction are highly recommended, the deck does get wet & slippery. I don't recommend flip flops cause I actually got bit(a little nip) by a bluefish once.
* Long sleeve shirt - it can get cold on the water, especially on the ride back.
* Girls - hair ties. 'nuf said.
* Feel free to bring a few beers, but no getting drunk on the boat please. They have a galley on the boat, but feel free to bring your own food.
* A rag to wipe your hands - trust me, you want one :-)
* More: http://www.prowler5.com/schedule.htm
* Change of clothes if we go out afterwards, & baby wipes to try and get rid of the fish smell lol

Who's in???
I grew up in Middletown :) Look forward to meeting you and playing "Do you know ____?" lol

bump :D
Len suggested this to me and I am definitely in. I have never done fishing before, so looking forward to it!
Awesome Atul!
Does everyone like Sam Adams Summer Ale or Blue Moon? I can pick up a 6 pack for the ride out. :-)

The Captain emailed me back and said that since we are a group we should get there at 2:30. This way we make sure we all get on.
Hi everyone!!
We are still on for this Saturday!! If you are planning to come please msg me your cell # and I'll reply with mine so we can stay in touch on Saturday.

3 1/2 days left!! :D
Ok guys!! Tomorrow you can hang the sign on your door that says "Gone Fishin'!" :D

If you plan on coming and haven't already done so - PLEASE SEND ME YOUR CELL # through a private message and I will reply with mine. I'll check one last time tomorrow morning around 11.

Be at the marina around 2:30 and we will set sail at 3:30. If you are coming from up north - be mindful of shore traffic (I really don't know how bad it is that time of day). Just a reminder also to bring cash for your admission and rod rental.

I can't wait to get out on the water again, feel the sun on my skin and the ocean breeze.... ahhh... I love summer. :D
